Chief Scientific Officer

 Julia Scott, PhD is Co-founder and Chief Scientific Officer of Gambit Labs. She received her training in neuroscience at University of California campuses (Davis, San Diego, and San Francisco). She has published widely on normal and abnormal neurodevelopment as well as brain aging. Presently at Santa Clara University, she directs the Brain and Memory Care Lab which focuses on XR and Neurotechnology applications in healthcare.

She co-founded Gambit Labs in 2021 with the mission of empowering youth to take the lead in ensuring their own well-being by developing specific cognitive skills that underlie healthier habits of mind.

Max Sims

Chief Design and
Product Officer

Max Sims is the Co-founder and Chief Design Officer of Gambit Labs. Previously, he was the Senior Product Manager for Theia Interactive’s Claria cognitive insight testing VR product that ran on the HP Omnicept Edition HMD. He began his career at Alias Research in 1982. He has authored many Computer Graphics articles and the book Inside Maya 5.

At Santa Clara University, he founded the Imaginarium VR lab. Sims has taught 3D design and immersive technologies for over 25 years.

Sims co-founded Gambit Labs to apply his extensive creative design skills to the development of games for mental health and cognition.

    Monica Fan (she/they) is a Game Designer experienced in system and gameplay design. She has designed games in AAA, Indie, VR, and console space. Having experienced firsthand cognitive improvement playing video games post-concussion and as a neurodivergent person, she is passionate about advocating the therapeutic values of interactive entertainment.

    PRODUCT STRATEGY
    Meredith Wade is a dynamic and innovative product manager with a strong background in AI, design-thinking, and product-led growth strategies. Some of her previous roles include Senior Product Manager in Adobe's AI Innovation Lab and Product Manager in Babbel's Innovation Lab. Her passion for early childhood CPTSD and ADHD intervention motivated her to Gambit Labs's mission.
